1.1. BBOXX Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as “BBOXX”) will handle all service and warranty related affairs pertaining to BBOXX products which have been sold directly by BBOXX to the consignee or sold through a distributor in the agreed region.

1.2.  The following warranty periods and conditions will be applied to the following BBOXX products and start from the date of purchase of the goods from BBOXX. This date will be indicated on the validated invoice provided by BBOXX to the consignee. Where delivery involves carriage by sea or air freight, the date of purchase will be determined by the date at which the bill of lading is transferred to the consignee.

1.2.1. Solar kits (BB5, BB7, BB12, BB17, BB38, BB120 and BB200) – BBOXX will give the consignee a 12 months warranty on the battery box. The solar panel and battery will fall under BBOXX warranty conditions in clauses 1.2.2 and 1.2.3.

1.2.2. Solar Panels – BBOXX will guarantee 70% of the solar panel rated output power over 20 years.

1.2.3.  TVs – BBOXX will give a 24 months limited warranty on the materials and workmanship of its TVs.

1.2.4. Inverter-Charger and BBOXX Control Unit – BBOXX will guarantee the electronics, the materials and workmanship of BBOXX Inverter-Chargers and Control Units for12 months.

1.2.5. Batteries – All BBOXX sealed lead-acid (SLA) batteries are guaranteed for 12 months to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Conditions and claims procedure are set out  as follows:

1.2.5.1. A battery will not be considered defective unless it fails to deliver 70% or less of its quoted capacity during the guarantee period.1.2.5.2. BBOXX SLA batteries or solar kits containing SLA batteries must be stored in a place where the temperature is always between 10-25 degree Celsius and out of direct sunlight.

1.2.5.3. The voltage of BBOXX SLA batteries or solar kits containing SLA batteries must be checked when the consignee receives its container and need to be charged every time the voltage drops to 12.6V due to self-discharge when in storage. The consignee needs to fill in BBOXX battery charging sheet every two weeks and stored on a common chosen server such as Dropbox.

1.2.5.4. The lifespan of BBOXX SLA batteries or solar kits containing SLA batteries will be guaranteed according to BBOXX SLA batteries lifespan vs discharge curves found in the technical folder on the BBOXX website. A battery will not be considered defective unless it fails to deliver 70% or less of its quoted capacity during the guarantee period. Only BBOXX approved battery testing equipment can be used to determine that the battery is below 70% of its rated capacity.

1.2.5.5. The consignee must ensure, where possible, that BBOXX SLA batteries or solar kits containing SLA batteries must be stored in a place where the temperature is always between 10-25 degree Celsius and out of direct sunlight.

1.2.5.6. The voltage of BBOXX SLA batteries over 50Ah must be checked when the consignee receives its container and needs to be charged every time the voltage drops to 12.6V due to self-discharge when in storage. Local records of the number of times SLA battery are charged must be kept by the consignee and provided to BBOXX upon request before validating any SLA battery warranty claims.

1.2.5.7. The lifespan of BBOXX SLA batteries or solar kits containing SLA batteries will be guaranteed according to BBOXX SLA batteries lifespan vs. discharge curves found in the datasheets on the BBOXX website.

1.2.5.8. The consignee must make sure that the system is installed and used according to BBOXX user manuals.

1.2.6. Lights – BBOXX will guarantee the electronics on the finished products of lights.

1.3. All BBOXX products listed above are guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts in the warranty period. Defects that occur within this warranty period, under normal use and care (refer to user manual for normal use conditions) will be repaired or replaced at our discretion, solely at our option.

1.4. Replacement of the Product or a part does not extend or restart the Warranty period.

1.5. The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies in respect of the product that the consumer has under the Trade Practices Act and similar state and territory laws.

1.6. All of BBOXX products under this warranty contract have been manufactured to the highest quality standards and are warranted to the consignee only. This warranty is not transferable.

1.7. This warranty does not cover any defect caused by an accident, misuse, abuse, improper installation or operation, lack of reasonable care, unauthorized medication, loss of parts, tampering or attempted repair by a person not authorized by BBOXX.

1.8. The warranty will not apply if damage, malfunction or failure resulting from alterations, accident, misuse, lighting strike, instability or fault on the grid or AC power source which damages BBOXX products powered by conventional AC power, abuse, fire, liquid spillage, mis-adjustment of customer controls, use on an incorrect voltage, power surges and dips, thunderstorm activity, voltage supply problems, tampering or unauthorized repairs by any persons, use of defective or incompatible accessories, exposure to abnormally corrosive conditions, acts of God or entry by any insect, vermin or foreign object in the Product.

1.9. This warranty does not cover damage arising during transportation, installation or while moving the Product, or to any transportation costs of the Product or any parts thereof to and from the consignee, unless otherwise specified in these warranty conditions. The consignee can and is advised to take an external insurance to cover the above risks.

1.10.BBOXX will not be liable for any loss, damage or alterations to (1) third party furniture, hardware or software; or (2) programs, data or information stored on any media or any part of the Product, no matter how occurring; or for any loss or damage arising from loss of use, loss of profits or revenue, or for any resulting indirect or consequential loss or damage.

1.11.This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of the Product or parts.

1.12.BBOXX will not provide refund directly to the consignee under any circumstances.

1.13.BBOXX excludes all other warranties, conditions, terms, representations and undertakings whether express or implied.
